Climate and nature risk

The research group models and analyzes climate impacts on nature, society and the economy, performs scenario analyses, and conducts stress tests based on its knowledge and expertise in using climate and economic models and climate and other environmental data.

 

 

Climate System

The research group conducts atmospheric research, with special emphasis on understanding the processes and physical impacts of the climate system.

Climate Mitigation

The research group works to understand the trends and drivers of historical and future emissions of greenhouse gases and short-lived climate forcers, and their effect on the climate.

Climate Policy

We work on understanding how international and national politics and policies affect each other, as well as the effect of climate policy instruments, focusing in particular on the global climate negotiations, climate policy in the EU, USA, China and Norway.

Atmospheric Sciences

The research group covers a broad range of topics within the atmospheric sciences. We are primarily a modelling group, studying radiative forcing of the climate system, and the role of gases, aerosols and clouds.

Climate and society

In the Climate and society group, we do research on and for transformation processes towards a low-emission and climatically adapted society. In doing so, we analyze interactions between relevant processes and actors at different scales in order to produce high-quality research that is applicable for various societal actors.
