I have a PhD degree in Economics from the School of Economics and Business, Norwegian University of Life Sciences (HH, NMBU), and a MSc degree in Environmental and Development Economics from the University of Oslo.

My main research interests covers climate policy, climate impact, global energy market, asset allocation of Sovereign Wealth Funds, and asset pricing.

Wetlands as game-changers for climate change mitigation and adaptation

Wetlands are natural water ecosystems that can help to mitigate the physical impacts of multi-hazards and extreme events. Despite its high potential, wetlands have been overlooked and are rarely considered in climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction policies and programmes, argues CICERO researchers together with Wetlands International Europe.

Quantifying health risks from heat and air pollution (HEATCOST)

HEATCOST will quantify health risks attributable to heat and air pollution (with a particular focus on air pollution from wildfires) in main world regions under selected climate scenarios and socioeconomic pathways.

EXHAUSTION

Increasing temperatures and heat waves due to climate change, combined with air pollution, constitute major health risks, and could cause an increase in cardiovascular and respiratory diseases across Europe. EXHAUSTION (Exposure to heat and air pollution in Europe – cardiopulmonary impacts and benefits of mitigation and adaptation) aims to quantify the changes in cardiopulmonary mortality and morbidity due to extreme heat and air pollution (including from wildfires) under selected climate scenarios.

The climate and health research group is an interdisciplinary group with strong competence within a range of areas of relevance to health impact assessment.

Climate and nature risk

The research group models and analyzes climate impacts on nature, society and the economy, performs scenario analyses, and conducts stress tests based on its knowledge and expertise in using climate and economic models and climate and other environmental data.
