Political scientist focusing on climate policy processes in India and Latin America
Solveig holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Oslo, and her research focuses on comparative analyses of the politics of climate change. Solveig's main research interests include climate, environmental, and energy politics, with special focus on the relationship between national and international policy processes, and the roles of political institutions and advocacy. Empirically her research focuses mainly on India, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, and Norway, and on the relationship between the Global North and South in international climate policy processes. She currently leads the research projects INDGREEN: India’s ambitions and possibilities of becoming a global green leader, and GREENLEAP: Greening Achilles heel sectors: Understanding environmental policy change in Latin American primary industries
